On a contrary, while using heavy loads, efficiency of alkaline battery degrades and it suffers from continuous discharge. But definitely the discharge and the adverse situation is even better than other batteries. To add more value in this, it is definite to say that the alkaline batteries are made up using cylindrical and internally changeable zinc carbon batteries. In addition to that, cylindrical cell used steel which is considered as cathode whereas anode is composite mixture of manganese and oxide with carbon powder added to it. Alkaline battery has a capacity of more than zinc chloride battery. Specifically, Duracell 9 volt battery has larger or the same size compared to leclanche batteries. The alkaline batteries are made up of mostly manganese and it has characteristic of having higher density and more purity. It is necessary to mention here that the voltage of the battery degrades here steadily during use and that is why the average of the battery totally dependent on the cut off voltage. Duracell 9 volt battery comes in small sizes because of use of small size of electrodes. Moreover, it offers four to six times more efficiency than any other battery. And that is even common in the digital cameras that are used in present days. There are two key points that decides how alkaline battery is going to perform: one is load in the whole design decides and the other one is Cut off voltage. If the AA sized alkaline battery have capacity of about 2500mAh at low drain, and the load is of 0.5 Ampere, the capacity of the battery will be of 500 mAh. It is considered that the normal voltage of the alkaline battery is 1.5V. And in the multiples of this, different voltage values can be derived.
