Learning Goals • The students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the development of economic principles, and the institutions and processes needed for citizens to be effective consumers and workers. • The students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how people satisfy economic needs and wants. • The students will identify and understand the purpose and benefits of local and global trade. • The students will understand how supply and demand of goods and services determine prices.

  5. Required Materials • Section in large binder OR separate 1” binder or folder to keep in Module classroom • Generous supply of looseleaf and pens/pencils • Colored Pencils • Highlighter(s)

  6. Rules and Procedures • Follow all county and school policies • Treat EVERYONE with respect. • Come prepared to class. • Always TRY your best. • Respect the learning environment. • Be responsible for your own education. • FIRE EXIT: C-Hallway doorD-Hallwayexit onto blacktoptake stairs!

  7. Grading Policy • Research: 50% • This component includes all of the materials that were generated in the PROCESS of research or inquiry. It is a composite of all of the grades that are included in the investigation and presentation of the project topic. • Assessments: 25% • Assessments include teacher-generated assessment tools and student-generated assessment tools that allow for students to demonstrate their understanding. • Classwork: 25% • This component includes classwork assignments and other activities that the teacher includes in this part.
