  5. Did people wear jorts, and dog collars? • “No, but we had some crazy kids with a chain connected to their nose ring. Those made fights interesting.”

  6. What were the coolest shoes to own? • “Jordans, still as popular as they are today.”

  7. What was your favorite music group? • “Doctor Dre, Warren G, Smashing Pumpkins, any of those.”

  8. What was your first car? • “Toyota Cressida”

  9. What WAS POPULAR Slang? • “Gnarly, Radical, we didn’t use the word swag like people here do. We knew the real meaning of the word.”

  11. What was the major school minority? Is it similar to todays? • “The majority, I would say would be either African American, or Hispanic. It wasn’t like today, because it was less diverse.”

  12. conclusion • It seems like people in Mr. Sanews generation had different values. They seemed to spend their time differently than us, and find different trends cool. Our school is much more diverse now than when Sanewattended west. There wasn’t many similarities except for maybe his favorite movie. Our school doesn’t have monthly dances, so we are forced to spend out weekends differently.
