  2. Needs Assessment: • The purpose of this training is to assist the new users of the operating system to feel comfortable with the new changes. Most of our employees have worked with windows XP for about 6 years. Since we upgraded their computers, many have had major difficulties understanding the changes and finding their documents. In addition, our work efficiency has decreased and this causes a problem for our company. • As we go over the needs of our Business we figure that we have the latest technology for our employees but most of them don’t know the basic features of the new computers running windows 7. Most of them are still looking for the Outlook express, they cant find their documents, don’t know how to utilize the desktop gadgets, and finding installed software on the computer.

  3. Needs Assessment: This Training will be developed in Soft Chalk Lesson Builder and will introduce the learner to the basic steps for using Windows 7. After the tutorial the users will be able to recognize the changes in Windows 7, understand the system requirements to run Windows 7, identify the new features within the desktop including Windows XP mode and know how the Touch Interface can benefit them. In addition our trainees will be able to navigate within Windows 7 understanding the gad jets and the Aero features that are very common in this new Windows 7. After this tutorial our learners will be empowered with the basic but essential knowledge to run Windows 7.

  4. Instructional Goal: • This training will help the trainees understand the changes to the new Microsoft's Windows Operating system. The new operating system is not only the newest technological advancement but it holds many benefits for our companies security and computer infrastructure. • After completing lessons our trainees will learn about the changes in Windows 7. • After completing lessons our trainees will understand the system requirements to run Windows 7. • After completing lessons our trainees will identify the new features within the desktop including Windows XP mode. • After completing lessons our trainees will know how the Touch Interface can benefit them.

Performance Objectives: • Using Windows 7, the learner will open gadgets and used them to double their production rate. • In the Windows Xp mode, the Windows user will be able to find their files and folders with no down time. • Using the Windows Touch Feature, the trainees will be able to work with out a mouse and increase performance. • With the training provided, the learner will be able to complete a final assessment with a passing percentage.

Learner Characteristics: • The targeted audience will be able to understand the basic requirements for upgrading to Windows 7. • The learners will be able to understand the new features including touch screen, gadgets, and Aero features. • The trainees will also be proficient in finding their local documents and be familiar with navigating thought windows 7.

Learning Context: • The intended instructional setting will be primarily in the workplace, including classroom environment. • Any computer with Windows 7 will meet the requirements in order to apply the obtained knowledge • This training can also be helpful for a personal computer running windows 7. In the case that a computer cant be accessed at work a trainee can apply the tips of this training to work around problems at home.

Not only will you have the opportunity to experiment with Windows 7 but you will also be able to apply the knowledge acquired on your daily computer usage. • Lesson Objectives: • After completing this tutorial you will be able to: • You will be able to identify the gadgets with in your desktop. • You will be able to understand the requirements and storage capacity required to run Windows 7. • You will be able to understand how the Aero Functions assist you while doing work. • You will be able to identify the location of your documents with in your hard drive in Windows 7.

Once you go over the benefits and changes we have considered you will sure want to try this new operating system out. Windows 7 has many new features that will assist in making your PC use more exiting and less complicated. As we have considered with the correct hardware upgrades your computers software should run normally and help finish your work faster. The touch feature is also a very exciting new application; this feature will let use the screen instead of dragging a mouse. We hope this tutorial has helped you understand the changes that Microsoft has done to their new operating systems.
