Microcredit in AfghanistanMatching Grant in 2004/05 Encinitas Coastal/La Costa Rotary Club $37,870 RI MG #55095 Microcredit revolving loans in Jalalabad, Afghanistan: Update in 2007: Our grant was the catalyst needed to get our partner, Relief International, to actually become a chartered micro-finance lender in Nangarhar Province. Once they were chartered, they were awarded a $500,000 capital grant by USAID to increase lending activity.
