What can be done? • Regular User Needs Assessment • All National Libraries should have Strategic Frameworks • Engage local government officials in conversation about importance of libraries in the community • Computer & Internet Service to be a core service • Invest in nurturing and developing library staff and emerging leaders • Create a platform forinnovation

  11. Conclusion Let us change our mentality as librarians of being service-oriented to being user oriented. As individuals us all contribute to develop the lives of our communities regardless of your position. Ask yourself, are you pulling libraries down or you are pushing it forward, then act according for the benefit of your nation.
