Imperative Tense

Imperative Tense. Used to give polite commands in Spanish. There are two types of commands, Affirmative and Negative. 2. There are 8 major subjects used in the Imperative tense in Spanish. 3. You do not write the subject when using commands. The eight subjects are:

  3. Punctuation is important as it distinguishes it from the Present Tense. Ud. habla español. ìHabla! ìHabla ahora! Therefore it is best to include double exclamation points for a singular word command on an emphasized command. IMPERATIVE TENSE Subjects
