  3. PURPOSE OF OCV • Supervision • Focusing special attention to clubs which require it • Motivate Rotarians to participate in service activities • Recognise outstanding contributions

  4. DG’S EXPECTATIONS FROM CLUB • Proper Planning & Preparedness for OCV • Good Attendance at OCV • Presence of Partners in service • True Picture of club’s health. • Financial Transparency

  5. What you can Expect from DG? • Review of Programme & Projects • Motivation to Club members • Recognition of Club & members • Share experience & expertise with Club • Pass on correct picture of Club to RI.

  6. OCV Modality • Meeting with President, Secretary, President elect (closed door) – 30 mins. • Club Assembly – 45 mins. • Meeting Partners in service – 30 mins. • Regular Club Meeting – 1 hour.

  7. CLOSED DOOR MEETING • Getting acquainted with club’s working through records • To get True picture of the Club • Some matters in confidence • Ensure leadership continuity

  8. CLUB ASSEMBLY • Based on Pre OCV Club assembly conducted by AG • Allows Interaction of DG with BOD, committee chairs & others

  9. It is not what people eat but what they digest makes them grow. • It is not what they read but what they remember that makes them learned.

  10. CLUB ASSEMBLY • Reveals AG’s involvement • Allows DG to Interact with BOD, committee chairs & others • Improves Club programs and projects • Manifests strength, weakness, opportunity & threats

  11. MEETING WITH PARTNERS IN SERVICE • Seek information on their participation • Understand their requirements • Motivate them to be partners • Recognise their contribution

  12. PLANNING FOR OCV • Send filled “planning guide for effective Rotary clubs” at least 2 weeks before OCV to DG. • 2. Update all club records prior to Pre OCV club assembly so that AG can see them. • 3. Any non-compliance pointed out by AG should be addressed

  13. 4. Send a brief report of club activities, plans, projects, budget & audited accounts to DG and a copy to AG & concerned Dist.Sec. • 5. Please note that DG is the chief guest & he will address your club. for approx. 20 mins. • 6. DG will recognise members / recognise TRF donors. Keep your list ready.

  14. 7. Make new member induction simple. • 8. Stick to Time. Avoid wastage of time. • 9. Send detailed program to DG well in advance. Any deviations from suggested program to be done only after consultation with DG. • 10. Call local personalities, Dignitaries, Prospective Members & use OCV as a PR Exercise to project your club & Rotary.
