  2. Cleaning for a Healthier Home • Clean and disinfected surface areas are a key to a healthy home. • Household cleaning products that contain an active antibacterial or antimicrobial ingredient provide extra protection against pollutants, including those that may cause disease.

  3. Getting Started – Make a Plan • Window cleaning • Clean kitchen daily • Clean bathroom 1-2 times a week • Bedroom cleaning • Living room • Basement cleaning

  4. Window • Make your own cleaning solution by adding two tablespoons of vinegar to a small bucket of warm water.  • Start by washing your window with a sponge. • Clean your window from both sides like from inside and outside. • Wipe of excess water and remove remaining water.

  5. Kitchen • Clean up food spills, crumbs, and liquids on countertops and floors immediately. • Empty trash daily; clean and disinfect weekly. • Clean food and grease from the stove daily. • Wash and dry dishes as soon as possible after eating (or put in dishwasher). • Wash floors weekly.

Living-room • Clear the clutter on the floor. • Put away any items that don't belong in the living room. • Use a vacuum hose or broom to remove cobwebs from ceilings and dust from ceiling fan or light fixtures. • Clean the couches and chairs in the room. • Use a wet rag and cleaning solution, wipe down the tables, desks, the TV, blinds and window seal as well as patio door. • Clean any entries or foyers that adjoin the living room at the same time you clean the living room.
