  2. SUBJECT GROUPINGS • The course contains a large selection of subjects divided into these 4 groups.

  3. SUBJECT GROUPINGS LANGUAGE & LEARNING SKILLS A (LALS A) CORE A CORE IT • An exemption test is available for Core IT. • See FazalSaikal for details LANGUAGE & LEARNING SKILLS B (LALS B) • Each of these 4 core subjects is compulsory. • Study the first 3 in the first semester followed by LALS B in semester 2.

See Mel Williams for details.

Those indicated are available in first semester. • See the timetable in your course booklet for further details.

  6. SUBJECT GROUPINGS Media Skills Drawing Painting Accounting Further Information Technology • All five vocational electives are available in first semester. • Media Skills is also available by flexible delivery. See Michael Clarke for details.

  7. COURSE COMPLETION Pass ALL four subjects Pass at least two Total number of elective subjects passed in these three groups must be at least seven Pass at least two Pass any number • Passes in a total of eleven subjects are required to complete the Tertiary Preparation Certificate.

Pass all 4 Core subjects LALS B Pass at least 2 A-level elective subjects Your score / 300 Pass at least 2 B-level elective subjects Best 2 B-level subjects Pass at least 7 electives in total (including vocational subjects) HOW YOUR UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE SCORE IS CALCULATED NOTE Scaled scores are only calculated at the end of the second semester each year. You are unable to course complete mid-year.
