General information • Power converter b.251 • Asbestos removal under the old selector ongoing • PS extraction b.352 • The galleries contain asbestos, some part of de-cabling campaign affected • b.157 • Emergency evacuation plan during renovation, with help of Louis-Frederic A.  signalisation do be installed • Fence installation on south platform ongoing • From 1 to 5 July no access via door next to CLOUD • Damages during roof renovation & bad weather during June • On the control rooms of IRRAD and CHARM • Beam line T08b, all equipments and electrical services are consigned • Ongoing preparation of an event… Project Team #29

Summary Last coordination meeting 26th June, Indico: 830256 • B.157 • Dismantling (primary area) • Buffer area is ready for the dismantling • Test & validation of WDP for each operation (T11) ✅ • Cleaning of area & handling TCX • Storage blocks @157 and magnets @Flex • Floor load validation on pending from HSE • Q100 on CLOUD will be removed soon • Survey between T08B and T09-T10 experiments area done • EN-CV, dismantling on going, manifolds and water pipes • Civil engineering • On south wall, dismantling of scaffolding done. • The roof refurbishment on going, the dismantling of “lanterneau” started • B.352, PS –F61 • Magnets dismantling • Last magnets have been removed and stored in Prevessin b.954 • M100 15t & M200 30t • Transport activities, EN-HE • Trenches will be opened for removing the hoses removal, TE-MSC/EN-EL • EN-CV dismantling on going, manifolds and water pipes 251 & 817 • Next steep, EN-EL (+ build.251&157) Buffer area CLOUD Area preparation run *CLOUD run From 02/09 to 15/11/2019 Project Team #29

Status power converters building • On going asbestos removal, to prepare remaining de-cabling @251, obsolete signal, all interlock and the transformer cables. • Dismantling false floor pending the de-cabling campaign • Inspection by HSE (asbestos) and VIC done to start the de-cabling phase. TCX assembly East hall • Primary are dismantling • Vacuum disconnected • Partial removal • T11, magnets BHZ01&02, collimators & beam-stoppers • T09,magnets QDE01, QFO02 & BZH01 • Magnets removed to reduce the ambient dose rate • All instrumentations and the target have been removed • TCX (Collimator for primary targets) • Highly radioactive and most of them (80%) contaminated, different at each layer: • Up to 5 mSv/h contact • 70 to 1400 Bq/cm² (up to 500 x CS limit for Co-60 = 3 Bq/cm²) • Contamination well managed during intervention: RAS on the floor after intervention < 0.4 Bq/cm2 • Very old equipment and little information about configuration • Many different parts and composition, (concrete, iron, lead, no controlled ventilation) Future TCX plug-in Estimation Work Dose Planning 0.5 day, 3 pers. handling and decontamination cleaning + 1 Rp agent 218 person.µSv 98 µSv max. indiv Real intervention 1.5 days, 6 pers. handling and decontamination cleaning + 1 Rp agent 434 person.µSv –well optimized compared to the actual duration 99 µSv max. indiv New DIMR version needed (ongoing) *Courtesy to G.
