  1. N E S W 5 state roadtrip TEMPLATE How to design your 5 state science inspired road trip for viewing by other students.

  2. DIRECTIONS: A good road trip is not just a series of pictures. Make sure you know what the objective of your trip is. What is the idea behind your 5 state science inspired road trip? • Look through the following slides • Each slide has a specific purpose • When creating your own presentation use images and videos. Must include 2 videos • Remember to include facts • Do not put lots of words into your presentation • Do use other objects • Maps • Links • Keep your objective in mind as your create your trip • Make sure to create a presentation that will enlighten and entertain your audience.

  3. TITLE SLIDE Use this to announce the destination of your 5 state scientific inspired road trip

  4. Vacation selfie Use this blank slide to insert a BIG image of a selfie from your trip. This slide should capture your fellow students’ interest. In the notes area, write a terrific lead into the trip you will be taking people on today.

  5. Road trip postcard ABOUT YOUR VISIT • Use this slide to create a postcard from one of your favorite places that you visited from your road trip. • Create an address to a recipient. • Create a message to a friend or family member about this particular destination.

  11. VIDEO- Last important location of your five state road trip. Find a video that brings to life the last location that you visited on your road trip. Add a description of the video here.

  12. Additional Information that must presented 1. You are on a trip, so include images (at least 3 per science destination). 2. Is this a scientific discovery? A medical advancement? A scientist? An exhibit? 3. Educate the audience about the main scientific focus of each destination. • Each destination has to have an attraction related to science. • Ideas: Science Museums, Laboratories, Universities, Events such as the solar eclipse, research facilities. • Your presentation must be 3-4 minutes in length.

These are the dates you will be assessed on the following tasks:Thursday May 2: Draft is due, as well as, the title slide, and the selfie slide.Wednesday May 8: Postcard slide, route slide(MapQuest Route Planner), and one science inspired location slide is due.Thursday May 9: The other four science inspired location slides are due.Friday May 10: End Slide, Resources/References slides.Monday May 13: Presentations begin.The timeline above will be used, resulting in 6 sbg’s for the assigned project.
