Students’ Comments “I found it easy, easier than other grammar. I don’t know but it was very fantastic very good grammar. I did it very good and I like to do more like this.” “Well er I think if we use LAMS the rest of the time we have for to finish the year [it would be good]” “Yeah, I would really like to use LAMS again. I hope we’re going to carry on by using this LAMS.”
The Lesson - Good aspects • No major technical problems. • The students completed the tasks. • The learning outcomes were met. • Students worked at own pace. • Support for weaker students. • Students were engaged throughout the lesson.
The Lesson - Issues • Some students finished early – differentiation needed. • No time for moderation or feedback from chat. • No time to look together at forum entries.
Issues with LAMS • Difficult to go from task to task. • The forum was difficult to use. • Getting back into the sequence is problematic. • Students can complete the sequence without engaging in the activities.
Evaluation • I enjoyed teaching the lesson. • The students all enjoyed doing the activities and want to use LAMS again. • The learning outcomes were achieved. • Students comments. • More differentiation needed. • LAMS can be used to teach grammar in a blended environment.
Final Thoughts • I’ve used LAMS with the same group 6 times this term because the students like it. • It is versatile. • All the resources in one place. • It’s getting quicker and easier to design sequences. • Using LAMS to monitor learning. • Teacher’s role using LAMS in a blended environment • LAMS is fit for purpose. • I’ll be using LAMS in a blended environment again and again!
