  2. OVER THE YEARS  The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is the oldest museum in Texas. It was founded in 1892 and the current building opened to the public in 2002. It was initially built and finished in 1901 which took 9 years It was renovated by many different architects like Herbert Bayer in 1954, O'Neil Ford and Associates in 1970s, and finally Tadao Ando in 1996.

THE CURRENT BUILDING The current building for the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is an astounding 3 stories 53,000 square feet base constructed of concrete, glass, and steel building It is a total of 156,000 square feet with all of the stories included. It also houses a 5,600-square-foot education center and auditorium as well. The architect of this work of art is a Japanese architect named Tadao Ando while the general contractor of the building is Linbeck Construction Corporation.

  4. W H AT T Y P E O F B U I L D I N G I S I T ? It is a commercial construction building made to for housing historical and rare art from right after the second world war to the present. It is specifically made to protect not only our history but also tourism. The building is in the Tertiary industry sector since its primary use is tourism and it is in the service industry. The museum is owned by the city of Fort Worth and is a significant contributor to its economy.
