  6. Objectives • To provide clients, staff and members of the public with information on national safe drinking guidelines i.e. standard drinks • To ascertain the baseline level of knowledge and awareness among the target group • Implement a hospital based alcohol information campaign

  7. Methods • Awareness day was held in the Louth County Hospital • Information stands were manned by the facilitators • Measure challenge and quiz • Subsequent information campaign

  9. Next steps • The effectiveness of the campaign will be evaluated in June when the awareness quiz and the “Measure challenge” will be repeated and the results compared with the baseline data. • Ongoing links with the Regional Alcohol Misuse Prevention officer.
