  1. FALL 2012 GoArmyEd Registration Process Before you register in GoArmyEd, there are a few things that you should Check on before you try to sign up for classes. Answer the questions on the following slides to make sure you have everything in order… BEFORE YOU TRY TO SIGN UP FOR CLASSES!

Have you established a GoArmyEd Account through your Army Education • Center or Unit Education representative? • Have you established a GoArmyEd Account through your Army Education • Center or Unit Education representative? YES YES NO NO You can establish your GoArmyEd account by visiting You can establish your GoArmyEd account by visiting https://www.goarmyed.com/login.aspx or visiting your Education Counselor. Go on to Question 2 2. Is CSU your home school in your GoArmyEd Account? NO Meet with an Army Education Counselor if: Your home school or degree plan is incorrect You are denied admission to your designated home school You already have completed your degree plan requirements You wish to change your home school or degree plan YES 3. Are you planning to take more that 12 semester hours this semester? You must see an education center counselor to get Permission to take more that 12 semester hours. NO YES Go on to Question 3 Go on to Question 4

  3. 4. Check your personal information record in your GoArmyEd record. Do you have any of the following holds on your account? SOU – Statement of Understanding needs to be updated? NO NO YES YES YES NO Print out a Statement of Understanding form, have it signed By your Commander (SFC and above may sign for themselves) and turn it in to the Education Center. FYI: an SOU must be signed and Uploaded to your Education record in GoArmyEd each year from the date it was originally signed. Email the CSU GoArmyEd Coordinator at goarmyed@columbusstate.edu letting them know that GoArmyEd Is requesting a student agreement from you. The Coordinator will upload your degree plan for you. It may take up to 24 hours to update in the system. Contact your Army Education Counselor. Only they Can assist with these holds. CIV Edu. Holds? Student Agreement Hold Go on to Question 4

  4. 5. Have you registered for classes in the CSU system through your CougarNet Account, and do you have a copy of your schedule in front of you? Go on to Number 5 Using the CRN numbers from your printed class schedule, follow the instructions on the next page to search for your classes in the GoArmyEd system to request Tuition Assistance. Sign up for your classes in the CSU System through CougarNet, then print a copy of your schedule. NO YES

  5. Step 6 Sign in to your GoArmyEd Account

  6. Step 7 After Signing in to GoArmyEd Click on the Request TA button You will be taken to a search page to find your classes!

  7. Step 8 • When searching for your classes • The least information works the • Best. • Choose Columbus State • University as the school • By default, the start dates • appear. Click in the box • and delete both dates.

  8. Step 8 3. Type in the prefix of your Course number. For example: If you are taking WMBA 6000, The course number is WMBA6000 Type in ONLY the WMBA in The SUBJECT box.

  9. Step 9 Subject All WMBA courses at Columbus State University will appear From the class schedule that you Printed off in CougarNet, locate The CRN number of the class you Are searching for. On your schedule the CRN number is a 5 digit number. EXAMPLE: 85913 HOWEVER, when courses are loaded Into GoArmyEd, the CRN number Becomes the SECTION number. It also loses the first digit to become a FOUR digit number. EXAMPLE: CRN #85913 becomes Section # 5913

  10. Step 9 4. Scroll through all of the WMBA courses until you find the correct SECTION NUMBER For your course. 5. Once you have found the Correct section Number Click on REQUEST CLASS

  11. 10. Once you click on Request class, This screen will Appear. Click on PROCESS REQUEST

  12. Once processed this screen will appear showing The course you just registered for.

  13. Step 11 Now that you have registered in both Cougarnet and GoArmyEd. E-mail the CSU GoArmyEd coordinator goarmyed@columbusstate.edu to let us know that you are registered for classes in both systems. Include your 909#. We will contact the Bursar’s office to inform them that you intend to pay for classes with TA funds. If you do not e-mail the GoArmyEd Coordinator, the Bursar’s office has no way of knowing that you are going to pay for your classes using tuition assistance funds and you run the risk of being dropped from your classes after the payment deadline date. Once the GoArmyEd Coordinator receives your E-mail, she will contact the Bursar’s office for you.
