  1. How to Create a Poll • Once logged into your account, click “Create New Poll” in the top left corner of your account page.

  2. 2. After clicking the  “Create New Poll” button, a new window will pop up that looks like this:

In this new window, type in the question you would like to ask your audience. • For a Multiple Choice Poll, type in your question followed by the options, each separated by a coma or semicolon. Ex: What is your favorite color? Red, Blue, Green • For a Free Text Poll simply type in your question. Ex: The floor is open, text in your question • Then hit “Enter” or click the logo to the right.

  4. 4. Once your question has been entered, you will have the option to review your question and make changes before saving the new poll. You can also click Multiple Choice to make your poll a multiple choice poll, or leave it as Open Ended to create an open ended poll.

  5. 5. Once you have formatted the question click “Continue.”6. If successful, you will see a window showing your brand new poll

  6. Text Message Voting Instructions Use your mobile phone’s text message (SMS) feature. No internet or smartphone required! Standard text messaging rates apply. Multiple Choice Poll Text the CODE for your choice to the number indicated

  7. Free Text Poll Text the CODE followed by your message to the number indicated (22333 pictured).

  8. Web Browser Voting Instructions Access your presenter’s unique Poll Everywhere web page from any device connected to the internet. Example: PollEv.com/username This page will “follow” your presenter and display the current question. If you see a piece of pie, wait for the presenter to activate a poll.

  9. Free Text Poll Once on the page, type your response and click submit.

  10. Web Browser Voting Instructions Multiple Choice Poll: Once on the page, enter the CODE for your choice and click submit. Example: 458456

  11. Free Text Poll Once on the page enter the CODE followed by your message and click submit. Example: 195990 testing

  12. Don’t forget: You can copy-paste this slide into other presentations, and move or resize the poll.
