My view of teaching I will: • demonstrate knowledge of the teaching and learning process; • demonstrate the capacity to arouse learner interest in the subject; • prepare and organise thoroughly for classes; • develop and communicate clearly student learning outcomes, course requirements and pathways to success; • challenge students to achieve learning outcomes and to develop critical thinking and problem solving abilities; • develop a rapport with learners; • use approaches to teaching and evaluation of learning that respect diverse student learning needs; • use assessment methods that are aligned with learning outcomes and instructional approaches; • encourage student participation in the learning process; and • demonstrate reflective teaching, for example by using feedback from students and others and by self-recognition of what I can do better

  6. NUTRITION TRANSFER OPTIONDO THE FIRST TWO YEARS AT CBU AND THE LAST TWO YEARS AT MSVU, UPEI, OR ST. F.X. FOR GREAT WELL PAYING PERMANENT JOBS ST. FX, UPEI AND MSVU HAVE SIGNED FORMAL NUTRITION TRANSFER AGREEMENTS WITH CBU

ADMISSION TO NUTRITION TRANSFER OPTION FROM HIGH SCHOOL Five grade 12 academic or advanced courses including English, Math (any grade 12 academic or advanced math is suitable); two of Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Food Science, Geology, or Physics; one other academic or advanced course with an average of at least 65 per cent. Chemistry and one of Biology or Food Science are recommended.  Students may substitute one Grade 12 open course for the one other advanced or academic course. CAN ALSO TRANSFER INTO NUTRITION TRANSFER OPTION ONCE IN UNIVERSITY-PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR DETAILS- EACH CASE IS DIFFERENT.
