  1. Welcome Mr. Brown’s Advisory Class Wednesday, August 22nd

  2. Lockers • Do not give out your combination! • Write combo down in planner in secret spot. • Do not keep your locker unlocked. • You will keep your same locker partner all year. • Right – Left - Right

  3. Advisory Supplies • I will collect the following items • 2 glue sticks • 1-3 rolls of Paper towels • 2 boxes of Tissue Paper • 1 package of white copy paper • Accordion folders for portfolios

  4. School Hours • You need to wait in the cafeteria until 7:30. • Breakfast is from 7:15 – 7:40 • At 7:30 you may go to your lockers and your advisory. • There is a warning bell at 7:40 • Classes start at 7:45

  5. After School • End of day bell rings at 2:30 • Students not picked up by 2:45 need to report to Mr. Wintermote’s room (1018)

  6. Dress Expectations • No headgear in the building • No midriff tops, tube tops, spaghetti straps, or undergarments showing • No saggy pants, they must be around waist • No chains • No advertising of things that are illegal for students to purchase • Nothing that offends other people

  7. General Rules • String backpacks are allowed in classes. • Pop and food are not allowed in classes or hallways. • Food purchased outside of building must be eaten before entering the building • Skateboards need to be kept in locker. • VIEW ACCEPTABLE USE OF ELECTRONICS POWERPOINT

  8. Passing Times • You have 4 minutes to get to class, use restroom, talk to friends, and get supplies! • Walk on the right side • Talk quietly as other classes may still be meeting while you are passing. OUTSIDE • Stay on sidewalks • Respect neighbors’ property

  9. Schedules • Core classes meet every day for 50 minutes. Other classes meet every other day (A/B day) • Lunch will be from 10:27-10:57 on normal days. 10:46-11:16 on Wednesday • Art/Chorus – 1 per semester • FCS, Tech. Ed, Computers (12 wks.)

  10. PUT YOUR SCHEDULE IN YOUR PLANNER • Downstairs rooms are numbered in the 1000’s; upstairs 2000’s

  11. Lunch • Go to the lunch room as quickly as possible once dismissed (you will only have 30 minutes) • Enter through doors by the library hall. • Choose your table and sit down, wait to be dismissed. • At the counter enter your number and wait for the cashier to state your name. • Raise your hand to be dismissed to dump tray, stack tray neatly.

  25. PBiS Matrix • We are a PBS School (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) • Can earn pride cards for doing the right thing. • We will set goals as a class, may have grade level prizes as well. • Go over matrix and take building tour
