DEFINITIONS OF “MIGRANT WORKER” IN INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTS (2) Recommendations on Statistics of International Migration, (№58 UN, 1998) Citizens departing to work abroad→Foreign migrant workers: foreigners admitted by thereceiving State for the specific purpose of exercising an economic activity remunerated from within the receiving country. Their length of stay is usually restricted as is the type of employment they can hold. Their dependants, if admitted, are also included in this category.
