  3. 4 MAIN TYPES OF PRINTMAKING • Relief--printing from a raised surface (ex. Rubber stamp, woodblock) • Intaglio--printing from a cut surface (cutting into the printing plate, then inking and printing the lines) • Lithography--printing from a flat surface (drawing with a greasy substance, grease absorbs ink) • Serigraphy--printing with a stencil (also known as screen-printing)
