Timeline of events • 28 April 2011 first discussion of water purifier • 26 May 2011 specification of purifier settled on. • Discussion of Millipore versus Crossbow purifiers • 28 June 2011 Millipore quotation distributed. • 7 July 2011 demonstration by Millipore of DI purifier • 19 July 2011 requisition entered into the purchasing system • 22 August 2011 Millipore enters order into their system. • 8 September 2011 Millipore system arrives • 15 September 2011 wall brackets mounted on wall • 22-23 September 2011 check out parts fit-up • 27 September 2011 Millipore installs unit & trains staff

  3. Planning • The DI Water Purifier has been planned for the south west corner of the Wet Lab (C-248). • This location facilitates DI water consumption in both the Wet Lab and the Photocathode Lab

  4. Quotation • The Millipore Integral 10 system was sized to have the capacity and the flow for the anticipated needs of the Wet Lab. • The Integral 10 comes with (2) type 1 water dispensers, ultra pure, and (1) type 2 water dispenser, pure water. • It was noted that SSL uses type 1 water to clean their parts. • The APS clean line uses type 2 water to clean parts for vacuum usage.

Future Tasks • Dispenser in Photocathode Lab • Cut hole into wall between Wet and Photocathode Labs. • Need either table or shelf for the MilliQ (type 1) dispenser. • Fume hood dispenser • Need table or shelf for the MilliQ dispenser • Install feed tube for filling the Citranox or rinse tanks.
