  1. Already But Not Yet 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 1 Corinthians 15:35-58

  2. There is a twopart process to our redemption.

  3. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins… Ephesians 1:7

  4. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near. Luke 21:28

  5. “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. Matthew 24:30-31

  6. There is a twopart process to our redemption. • All Christians are gathered at Christ’s return.

  7. Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him… 2 Thessalonians 2:1

  8. There is a twopart process to our redemption. • All Christians are gathered at Christ’s return. • We live with Christ in heavenbetween our death and His return.

  9. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; Philippians 1:21-23

  10. Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 2 Corinthians 5:6-9

  11. When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed. Revelation 6:9-11

  12. May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones. 1 Thessalonians 3:13

  13. There is a twopart process to our redemption. • All Christians are gathered at Christ’s return. • We live with Christ in heavenbetween our death and His return. • There is a bodily resurrection. • The dead are resurrected at Christ’s return. • Those alive when Christ returns will be translated.

  14. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. Philippians 3:20-21
