  1. Titanic Development By Becky Foster

Why this? • Titanic is a Hugh part of Northern Ireland’s history • People from all over the world would flock to see where this world famous ship was built • Film fans would also enjoy seeing it as there will be a special “Titanic movie area” • People over in Northern Ireland can find out more about the ship and see if any relatives were on the ship

  3. Where is it? • It will be placed around the shipyards in an available place • There is a lot of room in the shipyards and it seemed the best place to position it (As it was built there)

  4. Going Down!!! • We will have the different sections of the ship. You will start at the top and work your way down through the decks. • Each decks will have special features the next slides will tell you about eachdeck:

  5. Top Deck • You will be able to find out where the titanic started and its routes using the large maps on deck • You will meet all the people on board – captain, crew, 1st class passengers, 2nd class passengers .etc. • You will also get to see what they wore and how much they had to pay

  6. Second Section • This is were you can see where all the people lived • You will see passengers acting as they would on the ship • You will be able to see what there was to do

  7. Third section • By the time you get there the ship is starting to sink, you will be asked to put on life jackets • People will be acting out what happened • You will have touch screens and other equipment and sources to try and find out what has happened and why it is happening

  8. Boiler Room • It is now your job to get everyone of this ship! So no pressure! • Decide how many people are to go on a ship and who gets on first • Give orders and try to keep our passengers calm! • Find out what our captain really did and feel free to ask any panicking passengers how they feel! • Don’t worry about the water filling up beside you there is strong glass between it and you!?

  9. Life Boats! • Well you made it off the ship but use the touch screens in your boat to find out how many died and if you were related to them • Also on your screen you will see the final moments of the titanic!

  10. Land Ahoy • Now you are on land and can find out about what happened after the titanic like newspaper articles from that year • You will of course be able to see clips of the film and other media like things to do with titanic

  11. Back to reality • After your adventure I am sure you would love to have a meal in our gorgeous restaurant • There is also a gift shop selling postcards, badges, life jackets, model ships .etc. • There will also be a chance for you to win prizes answering questions on the titanic

  12. The Questions • Titanic sunk because….. • It hit an iceberg • It hit Nessie • Instead of being screwed together it was glued…it gets better, with non-waterproof glue?

  15. The answer was B • You know you think about me all the time!!!!!

  16. Why is the titanic development a great idea? • Everyone is fascinated by titanic • It is cheap and has a lot of new business premises, shops and other tourist attractions • Becky, Hannah, Bobbie-Joe and Daniel have made a presentation on it

  18. Thanks for listening and I hope you come to see it (even though it hasn’t been made and the multimillionaire who decides to take on this idea will never make it as good as we would have had it!!!!!)
