  2. Institute of Nuclear Physics of MSU was established in 1946 as a result of Soviet government decision • 28.01.1946 г. И.В.Сталиным было подписано Постановление СНК СССР, на основании которого 31.01.1946 г. Народный Комиссар Просвещения РСФСР В.П.Потемкин обязал ректора МГУ проф. И.С.Галкина организовать с 01.02.1946 г. при МГУИнститут физики атомного ядра (в открытых документах Второй научно-исследовательский институт физики (НИФИ-2 МГУ).
