  1. Does boredom lead to trouble? Devante’ Dixon

  2. What is boredom? • Boredom is much more than just a feeling, its an emotional state. A state in which most of us find ourselves in more than we want too.

  3. Why We Get Bored? • Boredom is a feeling of dissatisfaction out of your want to be mentally or physically active but lack of excitement to do so or inability to do so.

  4. 6 ways to combat boredom

  5. Step 1: Recognize it • To start off you need to recognize your boredom. Instead of contributing to the problem or doing some neglectful, do something productive.

  6. Step 2: Surround yourself with “Do-ers” • Boredom, just like other ailments are contagious. Surround yourself with people who are constantly active and push you to do better.

  7. Step 3: Read or Write • Not many teenagers read, but even fewer write. Reading and writing can easily demolish your boredom while allowing yourself to expand or express your creativity.

  8. Step 4: Be Irrational • Too much planning and thinking can become boring. We don’t know how to be irrational and spontaneous.

  9. Step 5: Connect with an old friend Talking to a old friend is often very smooth and relaxing. The “catching up” conversation is usually long, interesting, and fill with motivation for each other.

  10. Step 6: Get out and play • Go out and experience nature. Its nothing better than that.
