  3. Approval of Minutes • Approval of the Open Work Session Minutes of August 6, 2013. • Approval of the Regular Session Minutes of August 13, 2013. • Approval of the Administrative Session Minutes of July 30, 2013.

Order • Order authorizing the execution of a Grant Agreement between the Mayor and City Council and the Maryland Department of Transportation for $25,000.00 to install on-street bicycle pavement markings on Mechanic Street and connecting to the C&O Canal Towpath and the GAP Trail in Cumberland.

  6. Order • Order authorizing the execution of Change Order No 3 to the existing contract with Belt Paving, Inc. for the "South Centre Street Improvements" (13-11-M), in the increased amount of $19,585.29, making the total estimated unit price amount of the contract $974,094.47 with (10) additional work days.

  7. Order • Order appointing individuals to serve on various boards and commissions: Shade Tree Commission - Kathryn Gattens; DDC - Sharon Mike, Bill Shaffer, Jo Ann Circosta, Terry Michels, Steven B. Leyh; Neighborhood Advisory Commission - Royce Hedrick, Kathryn Gattens, Jennifer Jeudy, Michael Cassidy.

  8. Order • Order authorizing the City Administrator to accept an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant on behalf of the Cumberland Police Department, to be shared with the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, in the amount of $14,390 for the project entitled Allegany County Traffic Safety Initiative.

  9. Order • Order authorizing the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Cumberland Fire Department and the National Park Service to provide mutual emergency assistance in the area of the C&O Canal National Historical Park for a period of five years with option to renew by mutual consent.

  10. Order • Order accepting the sole source proposal of System Integration Technologies, Inc. to provide services for the replacement of hardware, termination of wiring, and programming of operational software at the Water Filtration Plant in an amount not to exceed $41,850.

  11. Order • Order authorizing the Sole Source purchase of a 2013 Ford F-250 SRW truck in the amount of $28,649.00 from Blue Knob Auto, Duncansville, PA.

  12. Order • Order authorizing the Sole Source purchase of a 2011 GMC Sierra 2500H truck from Timbrook Automotive, Cumberland, MD in the amount of $27,381.50.

  13. Order • Order granting a residential exemption of $448.93 from the Special Taxing District Levy for the 2013-2014 tax year for property located at 27 North Centre Street.

  14. Order • Order authorizing the City Comptroller to abate the 2013 Real Estate Taxes for City-owned properties on BishopWalsh Road, totaling $3,985.49.
