  7. What Makes it Effective? It may not be a one day in-service at the beginning of the school year anymore, but what is professional development like at your school?

But there are things we can control… • Continuing Ed • Attending conferences • Participating in workshops • Social networking • Checking professional web sites • Getting more involved in the community • Reading professional journals • Webinars • Connecting with professional peers • Staying connected with University Faculty • Working with student teachers • Adapted sports
