EU FOOD SAFETY POLICY • Must be based on a comprehensive, integrated approach • FBO have the primary responsibility for safety • Precautionary principle; • If reason to suspect unsafe food: FBO needs to withdraw products from market / recall from consumers • CA monitor and enforce this responsibility • Covering food chain ”Farm to table” • Must be Risk-based, Scientific Evidence
