  2. Weekly routine • Forest • PE: Tuesday and Friday • Always have clothes for inside and outside. • Spelling test will be on Thursdays. • Homework: Given on Fridays. Due in on Wednesdays. • Sage • PE: Monday and Tuesday • Always have clothes for inside and outside. • Spelling test will be on Wednesdays. • Homework: Given on Fridays. Due in on Wednesdays. Must bring in a reading book everyday.

  3. Blog • Updates on what we have been doing over the week will be written on the blog. Some tutorials will be put up. • The blog is on the school website under Sage and Forest. • Soft start: • Short activities based on what is being covered during the week • Next steps in books • Editing • Reading • Friday: Games day

  4. Vikings: Exploring Scandinavia Maths: number, calculations, fractions Literacy: narrative, biography, explanation, poetry • Map skills • Human and physical geography • Timeline • Art: charcoal/ Scandinavian art • Business Enterprise (DT) • Scratch/ Green Screen

Ancient Greece: The Big Bang Maths: problem solving, fractions, angles, measure, shape Literacy: narrative (suspense and mystery), persuasion, instructions, poetry • Map skills • Timeline • Art: sculpture • DT: mechanical systems • Earth (night and day) • Space (movement) • Forces (gravity/friction)

  6. Victorians: Inventors and Inventions Maths: calculations, Roman numerals, measures, fractions, decimals and percentages, time, shape, statistics Literacy: narrative (modern), report, discussion, poetry • Map skills • Victorian society • Ask and answer historical questions • Forces • Materials • SRE • DT (structures)

  7. PGL • Fun activities throughout the day (4) and 1 evening activity • Food is provided- Breakfast, lunch and dinner • Children get to choose 4 people they would like to be with in the rooms and in their groups. They will get at least 1 of their choices • A kit list will be provided- mainly old clothes • There will be a PGL meeting closer to the time
