The CPT Exam is mandated by the Florida Department of Education for all undergraduates entering tertiary education. Students who score 83 points on the CPT Reading and Sentence Skills Exams are placed in ENC 1101 Depending on the Reading and Sentence Skills scores, students are placed in one of three levels of College Prep Reading and Writing. Students earn a single grade for each course (Lecture and Lab). In order to pass a course, the student must pass the course with an “S”—Successful. The other grades are “P”—Progress, and “U”—Unsatisfactory. To earn the grade of “S” students must complete satisfactory course work, lab work, and pass the final exams for each level.
