  8. AIT & Internship position are availablefrom March through October Each intern will have the opportunity to learn and advance at their individual pace. Interns will begin their work with assigned tasks and responsibilities based on their previous experience and degree of responsibility and attention to detail. The intern has a tremendous opportunity to be exposed to and included in virtually every aspect of Golf Course Management from the budgeting process to pesticide applications.

  13. Operate a wide range of equipment

  14. Included in Drainage, Irrigation, & Other Projects on the Course

  15. You are afforded the opportunity to operate large equipment

  16. Included in Committee Meetings

  17. Opportunity to Operate Mowing Equipment

  18. Involved in Golf Course Setup

  19. Included in office responsibilities:Budgeting, Documenting, etc.

  20. You will have the chance to be involved in a number of department tasks Syringing Sodding Landscaping

  21. Interns & AITs will be involved with the automatic irrigation system and irrigation repair

  22. Included in Non-Agronomic Operational Tasks

  23. You are encouraged to volunteer at any of the Chicagoland tour events with full pay

  24. You Will Live On Site At No CostYou Will Have Golfing Privileges

  25. You will have lunch furnished at no cost at the Halfway House & can use the pool on Mondays.

Intern Benefits & Compensation • Compensation will depend on experience but generally speaking it will be in the $10 - $12 an hour range with time & a half pay for overtime • Housing is free • Bonus at the end of the internship – possible • Lunch is provided at no charge • Uniforms are provided at no charge • Local Superintendent meeting attendance
