Measuring religion in South Korea: the Korean General Social Survey (KGSS)

This study examines the measurement of religion in South Korea using data from the Korean General Social Survey (KGSS) from 2003 to 2014 and 2016. The survey includes questions about religious affiliation, frequency of religious service attendance, and strength of religious affiliation. The data was collected through face-to-face interviews, and the response rate varied over the years. The study analyzes the trends in religious affiliation, religious service attendance, and strength of religious affiliation among different religious groups in South Korea.
