  1. What is the GRE and how to be prepared for the GRE? The GRE or Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) is an admission requirement for many graduate schools in the United States and Canada. The main motive of the GRE test is to assess verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing and critical thinking skills. The GRE content includes specific algebra, geometry, arithmetic and vocabulary sections.

  2. The GRE exam is a standardised test that measures candidates' general academic nature in term to examine students' abilities before admissions. The GRE test is divided into six sections, 1.Analytical Writing Section: It consists of an argument task. Where you need to write an essay about agreement or disagreement about the argument subject, including a proper conclusion. 2.Two Verbal Reasoning Sections: This section is computer-based. It includes critical reasoning and vocabulary usage. Each verbal section has 20 questions with a time limit of 30 minutes. 3.Two Quantitative Reasoning sections: This section is also computer-based and requires high school level mathematical knowledge and reasoning skills. Each of the quantitative sections with 20 questions has to be completed in 35 minutes.

  3. 4.Experimental or Research Section: This experimental section either can be Verbal or Quantitative. Obviously, the test takers have no idea about this. This section contains new questions. Candidates can always use the experience from the exam in their future use. As the section is unidentified, it does not count towards the test-taker's score. GRE Preparation The GRE examiners always give the advice that the GRE only requires overall skills and general ability. It's not at all that easy. If you don't have enough practice before the exam, you can't even spend 15 minutes sitting before the exam paper. So practice for a certain period before the examination should be your mantra. Here are a few tips about your GRE preparation, - The preparation starting period ultimately depends on when you is your school admission. You need to complete the GRE test before that. -Understand the test format and structure correctly. And target one section preparation at a time. -To get admission to a great school, you need to remember that, there are few schools you require good academic record along with a high GRE score. - Choose either self-study from guides or between GRE course, GRE classes online, GRE live prep or GRE private tutor.Remember your decision depends on the time you have to be prepared. - If you choose GRE preparation online, you have to enrol and invest a certain amount of money. When you are registering for the online

  4. preparation classes, keep in mind that you may need a few CDs which contain practice tests. Always keep a comprehensive GRE book for the complete guide. -Many students memorise a few words without understanding the meaning, to improve their GRE vocabulary. Maybe they will be able to make example sentences, but as a result of this process, a scar will always remain in their speech or writing skills. So clearly there is no shortcut available while preparing yourself. -While preparing, don't forget to learn how to manage time while giving an exam for each section.
