InvestEU for Research and Innovation • Aim: to enhance private sector investment in R&I, complementing national/regional initiatives • Additionality test: no market distortion; financing addresses financing gap in the R&I delivery chain given the high risk • Package approach: InvestEU Fund, Advisory Hub and Project Portal • Amount of the R&I window: EUR 11.25bn (budgetary guarantee) • Estimated total investments: EUR 200bn of investments in R&I; market-based finance for the exploitation and scale-up of European R&I • Starting date: 1 January 2021
