  1. Get Ready For The Streets Of Kensington And Chelsea To Go Al Fresco In April The biggest date on Londoners calendars at the moment is April 12th, when pubs and restaurants can finally open for outdoor dining! More than 200 restaurants and cafes in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea now have licenses to put their tables and chairs outside to serve the public on April 12th, and we cannot wait to experience each and every one of them. Kensington and Chelsea’s restaurants and cafés already represent

  2. an iconic area of London, and this new layout is only going to add to their character and heritage. Chelsea’s Pavilion Road and Elystan Street, as well as Bute Street in South Kensington are set to have 24-hour road closures, which is great news for both eateries and punters alike. Just Like Paris As if Kensington and Chelsea weren’t already glamorous enough, come April they will resemble Parisian-style boulevards. Daytime closures will also continue in Portobello Road, allowing outdoor shoppers more space as the world-famous Portobello and Golborne market welcomes back non-essential stalls. Councillor Johnny Thalassites, the council’s lead member for planning and transport at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea stated: “Kensington and Chelsea is home to some of the best places to shop, eat and drink not just in London but around the world. We want to give our businesses the very best chance of recovery when lockdown lifts. Closing roads and getting outdoor licences to business owners as quickly as possible are just some of the practical ways to help our borough get back to the bustling, vibrant destination we have all been missing so much during the coronavirus pandemic.” We couldn’t agree more with Johnny! It is no secret that the hospitality sector has struggled more than most due to lockdowns and Covid restrictions, and it is great to see the council taking effective steps to help these businesses that provide so much for so many. At the moment Bute Street and Elystan Street road closures are just experimental, but there is potential of these becoming permanent later on in the year. These would create an established hub of food, drinks and entertainment within the borough. We think this sounds like the perfect hub to enjoy the long-awaited summer vibes! The borough of Kensington and Chelsea is full of some of the trendiest, quirkiest and most glamorous bars in London, so it’s no wonder they serve the chicest crowd London has to offer. Because of this, it’s no surprise that the council has pulled out all the stops to maintain the borough’s vibrancy. If you’re looking forProperties to rent in London’s Kensington and Chelsea take a look at what we have to offer.
