Key messages – Injuries in children • 10% of all children injured are Non accidental injury under 2 years old • Road Traffic Incidents remain most common MOI - ½ children are pedestrians

Key Points – injuries in older people • Pre-hospital triage: difficulties in identifying major trauma in older adults. • Lack of early identification means that initial treatment is more likely to be in a TU & undertaken by a more junior doctor
