  2. National Instruments Labview RV • Date: Wednesday, February 13 • Time: TBA • Location: TBA • Description: National Instruments will set up an RV on campus to give demonstrations to engineering students about energy, structure, and more other topics.

  3. Wii Tournament Mixer • Hosted by: FLEG • Date: Wednesday, February 13 • Time: TBA • Location: TBA • Description: FLEG is sponsoring a Wii Tournament for students to attend. Students can test their gaming abilities, enjoy some food, have a good time with friends, and compete for the grand prize!

  4. Engineering & Science Fair • Date: Thursday & Friday, February 14 & 15 • Time: 9 am - 4 pm, 9 am - 2 pm • Location: Grand Ballroom and Rion Ballroom • Description: E-Fair is a two-day event where engineering disciplines present what their field entails and the real life applications of their field. Engineering organizations set up interactive booths and grade school children are given tours to show them what engineering is all about.

  5. Mr. Engineer Pageant • Hosted by: SWE • Date: Friday, February 15 • Time: 6 pm – 10 pm • Location: Rion Ballroom • Description: The Society of Women Engineers is hosting its third annual Mr. Engineer pageant. This pageant is an opportunity for male engineering students to show their personality, have some fun and the chance to win a gaming system of their choosing!

  6. Engineering Leadership Forum • Date: Saturday, February 16 • Time: 11 am – 4 pm • Location: Reitz Room 282 • Description: This event is the perfect opportunity for those students who are, or would like to become future leaders in the industry. It’s a day of excitement and leadership training, as they hear from industry speakers and career experts. Employer come speak on a panel for what they’re looking for, and then the audience gets a networking session.

  7. Campus Cleanup • Hosted by: AWWA & SEE • Date: Sunday, February 17 • Time: 9 am – 11:30 am • Location: Beaty Towers West • Description: Volunteers from different engineering organizations will be collecting trash from multiple areas on campus. Breakfast will be provided, along with all the necessary supplies and equipment. Join us in cleaning up the environment and giving back to our community.

  8. Mystery Design • Hosted by: FES/BEC • Date: Sunday, February 17 • Time: 12 pm – 3 pm • Location: Reitz 361-363 • Description: Mystery Design is an annual competition for elementary students, grades 1-5, where students are introduced to basic engineering concepts by competing against other groups within their grade level in some sort of design project. Engineering students are needed to teach and supervise each grade level.

  9. Engineering Knowledge Bowl • Date: Monday, February 18 • Time: 6 pm – 9 pm • Location: Grand Ballroom • Description: The annual E-Bowl tournament will feature the four highest scoring engineering societies determined by a written preliminary round test. The four societies will battle it off in a Jeopardy-style trivia game. The winning team will have the chance to compete against faculty members whom we have all come to know and love.

  10. Extravaganza • Date: Tuesday, February 19 • Time: 11 am – 4 pm • Location: North Lawn • Description: Remember field days back in elementary? This is better. Games include a water balloon toss, relay race, tug-o-war, capture the flag and gladiator jousting! Not feeling competitive that day? No problem! They do not call this an Extravaganza for nothing! BECs very own carnival will such wonders as a Velcro wall! A sumo suit set! A mechanical bull! And even more gladiator jousting!

  11. Social • Hosted by: SWE • Date: TBA • Time: TBA • Location: TBA • Description: Kick back and enjoy this social with the rest of the engineers downtown to celebrate the success of E-week!

  12. Engineering Building Challenge • Hosted by: AIAA • Date: Thursday, February 21 • Time: 4 pm – 6 pm • Location: TBA • Description: The Engineering Design Challenge intends to give students a chance to put their engineering intuition and textbook knowledge into practice through a series of quick-paced, novel, engineering challenges using everyday materials. Small groups will be formed and under a time constraint attendees will flex their "design muscles" to discover and conquer common problems which frequent design environments.

  13. Flavet Festival • Hosted by: Society of Audio Engineers/BEC • Date: Friday, February 22 • Time: 6 pm – 10 pm • Location: Flavet Field • Description: Flavet Festival consists of 3 live bands playing, while participants enjoy a carnival where organizations run a booth with a game to play such as speed pitch or dunk tank. Each game costs a small fee (quarters), and all proceeds go to Engineering Outreach.

  14. FIFA Tournament • Hosted by: SHPE • Date: Tuesday, February 26 • Time: TBA • Location: TBA • Description: Kick back and have a good time playing FIFA with the rest of the engineers!

  15. State of the College Event • Hosted by: ESAC • Date: TBA • Time: TBA • Location: Grand Ballroom • Description: It's kinda like the State of the Union, but better.

  16. E-Week Reception • Date: Wednesday, February 27 • Time: 7 pm – 10 pm • Location: Matthew Suite • Description: A final wrap-up of Engineers’ Week 2013. The mayor comes to the reception and proclaims the week officially UF’s E-Week.

  18. What I need from you guys: • Confirmation of participation in Engineering Science Fair, and Flavet Festival. • If any other organization wants to put their event into the E-Week line up, they need to send me an e-mail as soon as possible.
