  2. What is the Women’s Giving Circle? • The Women’s Giving Circle of Jefferson County (WGCJC) is a community of philanthropic women of all generations and means who combine their financial strength to make a positive change for the women and children throughout Jefferson County. • Assets of the WGCJC are held and maintained at the Community Foundation of Madison and Jefferson County (CFMJC).

  3. Who We Are • The membership of the WGCJC consists of women of all ages and all backgrounds who come together, pool their contributions, and make funding decisions together. • To become a member of the WGCJC, one must contribute a $100 gift annually to be paid by December 31. • Of the $100 annual donation, $75 goes in a fund for immediate granting and $25 is placed in an endowment fund for future granting. Gifts are fully tax-deductable. • Members may be as involved in the WGCJC as they’d like. There are no monthly meetings to attend.

How We Give • The WGCJC makes grants annually in four Fields of Interest that have the greatest potential to help the women and children of Jefferson County: • Education • Economic Empowerment • Physical and Mental Health • Violence and Crime • Grants are awarded only to 501(c)3 organizations. • Voting on grants by the WGCJC membership takes place at the WGCJC annual meeting.
