  2. 01252 323673 johnthefootman@gmail.com www.johnthefootman.com The harsh and extreme weather during the cold days of winter can take a toll on your body. It primarily affects the parts of your body that are exposed. Most people go to foot clinics for chilblains or Raynaud's phenomenon because they neglect their feet. Here are some ways to take care of your feet:

  3. 01252 323673 johnthefootman@gmail.com www.johnthefootman.com COVER YOUR FEET PROPERLY • Naked feet exposed to the cold is the worst. Wear fully protective, thick shoes. • Add an extra layer of protection with stockings or socks. • Direct cold exposure is the primary reason for chilblains.

  4. 01252 323673 johnthefootman@gmail.com www.johnthefootman.com WEAR THE RIGHT SHOES • Most people wear shoes that don't fit them properly, causing foot problems. • The right fit will not need breaking in, even if it is new. • Tight shoes cause blisters, redness, puffiness and soreness. These can get extremely painful and uncomfortable in the winter.

  5. 01252 323673 johnthefootman@gmail.com www.johnthefootman.com BE CAREFUL OF THE TEMPERATURE • The extreme temperature is the chief culprit. Don't expose your feet to different levels of temperatures all of a sudden. • Don’t place hot water bags or sit in front of the fire as soon as you come home. Your skin won't take it very well.

  6. This is how you can care for feet in the winter.
