Expected Outcomes: RM600 million financing amount approved by financial institutions. PROJECT: GTFS REPORTING PERIOD: 01/05/2016– 31/05/2016 • Challenges • Internal : Nil • External : • Financial institutions take a longer time to process GTFS loan applications due to unfamiliarity with green technology projects. • Lack of supports towards biomass, biogas, etc. sector • Single customer limit on TNB limits further exposure for Fit cases • PFIs adopt the same credit evaluation criteria in evaluating green technology loan applications • Project promoters unable to produce appropriate loan proposals to the financial institutions. • Actions or support needed • Clinic session to selected cert holders to bridge the gaps between financial institutions requirement and cert holders • Agro Bank for agro based project i.e. biogas, biomass and compost • Bank Islam for Islamic banking financing • Continue training programs to selected financial institutions. • Pitching program to selected cert holders • To utilise Help Desk day to encourage complete proposal submission.
