  6. Magic “e” Syllable (ME) Two vowels separated by a consonant (VCe) Final vowel is a silent ‘e’ Other vowel is long sound a.e, e.e, i.e, o.e, u.e

  8. Double Vowel (2V) Two vowels in a pair 1. First one does talking, second one silent (ea/ee, oa, ie, ay/ai, ow [o]) Or 2. Make a NEW sound together (oo, oo/ue/ew, au/aw, oi/oy, ou/ow)

  12. Final Stable (FS) Syllable ends with consonant ___‘le’ Vowel is hard to hear, but it is there to indicate a separate syllable; Sounds like /I/ at the end fle, ble, ple, dle, tle, gle, ckle, zle, cle When ‘s’ comes before ‘tle’ the ‘t’ is silent
