  2. Tradition • Japan’s tradition is the family has a good lunch and they pray first than they eat. • They put lights on their houses. • If the children don’t believe in Santa Claus presents are no longer given to the children.

  3. Traditions • December 25th is not a national holiday in Japan. • December 23rd , which is the birth date of the emperor, is a national holiday. • Parties are often held for children with games and dancing.

  4. Holidays • Japanese put Christmas lights on their trees. They sell cakes when it is not Christmas Eve yet. • Moms and dads give presents to their children. The children trade presents with their friends or family.

  5. Holidays • Japanese think Christmas is not a holiday. They think it is happiness spread to their family. • Christmas lighting is often up at the end of October.

  7. Food • The people that are girlfriend and boyfriend go to a fancy restaurant and eat. • Japanese eat Christmas cake on Christmas Eve, and they eat KFC and turkey and ham. • Japanese eat chicken and sponge cake with trees and flowers to make it look like Santa Clause.

  9. Clothing • The kimono is what Japanese wear on traditional days. • Both women and men wear kimonos.
