Workshop Guidelines: • Plenary talks helped define “Where we are today” • Workshop discussion will define “Where do we need to be” and “How do we get there” • Focus on the science that will provide a technology breakthroughs • Provide inspiration to the research community • Define the Future Research Directions (FRD) that will lead to scientific and technological breakthroughs • Panel discussions should initially focus on FRD. Draft FRD will be presented on Thursday morning • Panel reports will summarize the current state of the field, then focus on the science and technology challenges and opportunities, and Future Research Directions.

  2. Please use this slide for each future research direction (FRD). Additional slides may be used to expand on the FRD Panel Title:Enter name of future research direction here Science and Technology challenges Summary of research direction Brief overview of the underlying S&T challenge What will you do to address the challenge? Potential scientific impact Potential technological impact What new scientific discoveries will follow? What new methods and techniques will be developed? How might this impact estimations technologies? What’s the timescale in which that impact may be felt?
