  3. Reason #1Leverage your Seismic Data • Your seismic data is valuable, but it isn’t buying you anything sitting on the shelf. • Placed in ECHO’s Maverick-Val Verde datapool, your data will open the door for you to access other data you always wished you could see. • In ECHO’s program, you retain ownership of your data as well as the ability to license it through traditional brokerage arrangements.

  4. Reason #2Datapool Expertise • ECHO has been building seismic datapools for 25 years. • ECHO has succeeded time and time again in developing small programs into large, attractive datapools. • ECHO is not a data brokerage company; ECHO is a processing center, so unlike any competing program, all data are automatically reprocessed using state-of-the-art techniques and provided to licensees FREE OF CHARGE.

  5. Details – Datapool Concept • ECHO recruits seismic data from many exploration companies (one of which could be your company) for inclusion in a pool containing data in a specific area (in this case, the Maverick-Val Verde area).  When a company contributes its proprietary data to ECHO's pool, the company gives ECHO permission to license that data to other companies, either through data trades or financial sales.  ECHO does not gain ownership of the data, only licensing rights, and ECHO does not limit the data owner's ability to license its data outside of ECHO's program through traditional brokerage arrangements.  • In return for submitting proprietary data to ECHO's pool, contributing companies receive licenses to other data in the pool and/or other products and services that ECHO can offer.  • The amount of data a company may select from the pool is proportional to the amount it contributes. Ratio amounts vary on the data contributed.  • Companies that contribute sizable data contributions may be offered "Lifetime" participation in the program.  Lifetime participation provides the participant with a license to all data that is ever contributed to the program.  So, as the program grows, the Lifetime participant will continue to receive data from ECHO without ever having to contribute more data or pay any fees.  You don't even have to place an order for the data; all datasets are shipped to you automatically, as soon as they are available!

  6. Details - Current Program • ECHO has had a tremendous amount of success building seismic datapools in areas like the Gulf Coast and Permian Basin.  Our 3-D Gulf Coast Program contains over 2,200 square miles of data; our 3-D Permian Program contains over 3,200 square miles of data.  Both of those programs started out small like our current Maverick-Val Verde program.  We want to have the same type of success here that we have had in other areas, and we need companies like yours to help us seed the program with data in order to attract more participants (and more DATA) to the program.  Your company’s data is likely to attract data contributions from other Maverick-Val Verde players, resulting in a high payoff for you down the road. • We currently have 54 square miles of 3D data and 30 miles of 2D (swath) data in our Maverick-Val Verde program, and ECHO is actively encouraging client participation to encourage additional data contributions.  A map of the existing program data follows:

  8. Reprocessing • We know that detailed attention to data processing is essential in the Maverick-Val Verde area. We take our processing challenges very seriously and will not release a product unless we are confident in its quality. Remember, participants in ECHO’s program will receive the newly reprocessed data for no additional charge. • Some examples of ECHO’s processing work on data in this program follow.
