Milestones • Funding until end of 2005: approved by DLR • ICC training: 11/12 October @ MPE • 28 participants, tutorial and demo sessions about all aspects and work packages of the Herschel mission relevant for the PACS ICC • AVM-ILT test: starts beginning of April 2002 • AVM/CQM test: starts April 2003 PACS ICC

Current Tasks and Schedule • IA/QLA • Quick Look Analysis, Calibration Analysis, Trend Analysis, Automatic Test Analysis, Science Analysis • Version 1.0.: end of March 2002 (mainly QLA plus IA environment) • “Tiger Team” to investigate common IA structure: Report: April 4, 02 • EGSE / HCSS development • SCOS2000, MIB editor, test equipment, data model, TM/TC interface … • EGSE integration at MPE: October 22/23 • First EGSE-DPU tests at IFSI: January 14/15 (remote access from MPE possible !) • HCSS version 0.1: Integration ongoing, Beta-release available in April PACS ICC

Current Tasks and Schedule (II) • Instrument Commanding • On-board command procedures (OBCP), Common Uplink System (CUS), TC/HK parameter definition, test procedures… • Ready for AVM: end March 2002 • Ready for CQM: end 2002 • CUS to be filled in March 2002 • Calibration • Def. of in-orbit cal. req., Input to ground-based cal. req. (test optics, cal. sources, astronomical sources) … • 2nd draft of calibration document (IOCRD): Feb 15 PACS ICC

Current Tasks and Schedule (III) • Simulations/Modeling • Simulator as required by SIRD (to be used for end-to-end tests of operating procedures, AOT validation, SW tests etc.) under investigation • Instrument simulator (to gain a deeper understanding of the instrument by simulating the complex effects and interactions of the many steps through telescope and instrument, e.g. noise, glitches, drifts, detector time responses etc.) • 1st version of (elements of) instrument simulator: mid 2002 (linked to AOT design) • Management • SIP ready March 18 PACS ICC

  7. Current Tasks and Schedule (IV) • System Engineering • Quality assurance, config. control, ICC web pages, documentation and AI system … • AVM-ILT operation (together with H/W Team) • starting April 2002 PACS ICC
