  1. Twt poll Mini assessment

  2. What were the main reasons for the First World War out of these choices? • Jealousy • Murder of Austria's heir in Sarajevo • Treaty of Versailles • Starvation

  3. Screen shot of the questions including the multiple choice options

  4. Results

  5. From where

  6. Analysis • As shown on the previous slides, a majority of the answers gravitated towards the assassination of Franz Ferdinand with a majority of 63% of the total polls. Secondly, the Treaty of Versailles was at 17% making it the second most answered cause of the outbreak of the First World War. Jealousy was at 13%, and last but not least, Starvation and at 7%. What surprised me about the results was that the treaty of Versailles was at 17% when in reality it was implemented only afterthe first word war and that starvation or jealousy between the nations should have gotten a higher percentage than they have based on the results I have collected. I infer from these results that the most common answer people immediately think of when asked of the causes of WW1 is the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, leaving out any basiclong term causes.
