  13. 8.Conclusions • Although solar energy in our country represents 21% of renewable energy, this development does not correspond to capacity that could be installed using solar radiation potential assessed in areas like the Atlantic Coast and La Guajira and therefore is not yet comparable and competitive with foreign production. • The global solar energy is improving due to its great success in many countries and the growing environmental awareness is gradually taking over the world.

  14. 8.Conclusions • The business sector of Santander is betting on innovation and technological development of solar energy. More and more companies in the region are implementing new technologies in their production processes.
