  4. What we do • Provide Key Services which reduce costs and risk • Invest Risk Capital in Agriculture, Tourism and Forestry

  5. What we want to achieve Short term: • increase income of 15 000 economically active poor from 30 cents to one USD/day • Long term: • increase income of 50% of economically active poor in Niassa • activities to continue indefinately through profit making

Current Operation • Pilot phase started in 2000 • A number of projects under one bilateral agreement • The programme is managed by a Joint Executive Committee, JEC (with 2 repr appointed by Sida and 2 by Niassa province) and one operations manager • Budget 20 million SEK/year (3 m USD) • Cooperation with about 10 organisations and investors
