  4. Diegetic sound: Any voice, musical passage, or sound effect presented as originating from a source within the film's world. Such as, a song played on a car radio that we see in the frame. • Nondiegetic sound: Sound, such as mood music or narrator's commentary, represented as coming from a source outside the space of the narrative. • Synchronization: Correctly aligning the photographic and audio portions of a film so that the image and sound is heard and seen simultaneously. • Fidelity: Fidelity refers to the extent to which the sound is faithful to the source as we, the audience conceive it.
